The Curious Incident of the Satay in the Evening.

Friday
Speech Day! I missed school in morning cause I had appointment with Mizz Juzzztine. That's how she pronounces it. Haha. I can wear shoes from Monday onwards :) Speech Day was surprisingly fun. Michelle was HILARIOUS. She made me laugh like a dog. We were spotting seniors and I've learnt that Myitzu's definition of pretty/handsome is a little weird. Haha. Band conductor! Thanks to Michelle, my sense of humour is really warped :D But still love you table-partner :)

So after that a few of us had to go for the MP thing. About 15 of us had to go to Bukit Merah and attend a Meet-The-People session. Honestly, I've only read about such things in my SS textbook. Never knew there really were such things. So after Speech Day, about 4 of us took Rachel and Rebecca's parents' car there. We reached there about 20 minutes early and decided to have our dinner at the hawker centre across the MP place.

Archana, Suz and I walked around the whole place and Michelle went to buy drinks. There weren't any vegetarian or Halal food for Archana and Suz so we decided to order satay (from a Chinese stall). Suz and I decided to order 5 sticks per person. Since there were 4 of us sitting at the table, we ordered 20 sticks. And 4 ketupats. We totally forgot that Archana's a vegetarian. The person then asked what our table number was so I went back, checked the number, called Suz and told her. When the satay came, the lady was like, "16 dollars." In my mind I was thinking "16 dollars for satay?!" I put the thought aside cause of the fact that we ordered TWENTY sticks. So we paid her and started eating. Suddenly Michelle was like,

"You guys didn't buy 20 sticks"

"We did!"

Michelle begins counting.

"YOU ORDERED 36 STICKS!"

Our eyes popped.

"WHAT?!"

We all began counting like mad people.

"Crap, she must have mixed up our table number with the number of satay sticks."

We began laughing like idiots. It was hilarious. So technically, Suz, Michelle and I had to eat 12 sticks of Satay. Instead of a mere 5. LOL. Anyhow, dinner was really really really fun :D I couldn't stop laughing. The MP session was SOOOOO anti-climax. I had to think sad thoughts to prevent myself from laughing at inappropriate timings. The session was quite an eye-opener actually. We never really knew that there were people in Singapore that were so unfortunate. One thing I didn't really like was the fact that our petition writer was quite skeptical, cynical and a little rude. Not to us but the residents mainly.

Saturday
Met Carissa and Dawn and we went to Singapore Island Country Club :D It's quite cool. Really ulu though. Carissa and I swam and there was this really dangerous and rather plump boy in the pool. He kept cannonball-diving into the pool. We were so afraid that he would jump onto us. Literally. Then, Carissa's dad sent us to J8 in his (in my opinion) super cool car :D I had SUCH a great time at Mos. Carissa, your plans do fail! Haha. MY insides hurt so much from laughing. I love you guys :D :D :D
